Meet the Team

George and Lisa Otis
George and
Lisa Otis met while serving in Youth With A Mission during the 1970s and
have been involved in international mission work ever since. Today
George serves as president of The Sentinel Group, providing vision and
direction, producing media, building a network of global relationships
and developing teaching/training as he observes the Holy Spirit’s
handiwork in the nations. He also serves as chief fundraiser and
administrator for the ministry. Lisa assists George in executive
communications and correspondence, travel logistics and project
management, and provides accounting and HR support to the ministry. |

Charles Barbosa
Charles Barbosa
joined our team in 2006 after meeting up with George for years at
international gatherings and discovering like minds and hearts.
Brazilian by birth, Charles is a graduate of Christ for the Nations and
had lived in Houston for more than a decade before shifting to Seattle.
As Director of Global Outreach & Partnerships, he serves the
international transformations movement via networking, coordination of
international events, and helping George to both bring and receive input
from the nations. |

Pete Berg
Pete Berg, a Southern California transplant, has served as Art Director
for the past ten years. Bringing a wide range of experience in both
non-profit and commercial markets, he is responsible for the graphic
presentation of Sentinel’s message via print and video. A sampling of
Pete’s extraordinary gifting can be seen in the children’s book, Seal of
Faith, a companion to the Transformations II DVD.

Makela Kaleohano
Makela Kaleohano, originally from Hawaii, serves as
receptionist/administrative assistant — receiving incoming calls and
mail, processing orders and answering questions. With her degree in
accounting, she serves alongside Lisa in overseeing the finance
department. After serving on mission trips to Haiti, Makela has a real
heart to see transformation touch this nation. |

Brook Otis
Brook Otis serves full-time in the media department as a cameraman and
editor. Over the past several years, he has carried a video camera
around the world to capture footage for Let the Sea Resound, An
Unconventional War and Approaching Fire. More recently, he produced a
short video titled The Hebrides Revival: A Retrospective. He is
currently editing the brand new 50+-hour curriculum, Journey to
Transformation. |

Daron Otis
Daron Otis is a recent graduate of North Sound Christian High School and
is interested in pursuing training in media. At present, he packages up
and ships out resource orders here at the Sentinel offices on a
part-time basis. He has had the privilege of traveling to several
nations with his dad and is contemplating a Discipleship Training School
or film school somewhere in the world. |

Carol Saia
Carol Saia handles the significant information flow into our offices.
She reviews incoming reports from around the world, alongside news
George and the IFTP bring in from the nations, to support the new
GlowTorch website. In addition, Carol proofreads, organizes our in-house
archives and researches as needed to assist projects. After decades of
ministry in India, Afghanistan, Holland and here in the USA, Carol has
been blessed to encourage people to pray for God’s transforming work in
their own communities and nations. |

Steve Loopstra Steve Loopstra and his wife, Marilou
relocated from Minneapolis in August of 2009, and are living in Monroe,
WA. Steve is the former director of Prayer Transformation Ministries, and now on the Sentinel staff is busy giving oversight to a new and dynamic website for The
Sentinel Group, as well as serving as U.S. liaison for the Journey to
Transformation process. Steve’s testimony is that transforming revival has become a part of his "DNA," and his passionate prayer is to see
transforming revival break out all across our nation as a testimony to
God’s glory. |

Arlyn Lawrence
Arlyn Lawrence is a contributing
editor/columnist for Pray! Magazine, a published author and member of
The Sycamore Commission. She lives near Tacoma, about an hour from
Sentinel’s home office, and is wife to Doug and mom to five. She brings
her writing and editorial skills to the Journey to Transformation
curriculum and is currently developing the participant’s training manual
that will accompany the 50+ hours of DVD teaching.

Barbara Salisbury
Barbara Salisbury is based in
Austin, Texas, and serves as an administrative assistant/coordinator
alongside J.R. Smith and Lucy Ross as they meet the demands of the FIRE
Tours and Journey to Transformation programs. She brings a strong sense
of process and order from her previous five years as project manager at
Dell computer, and is a married mom of five, and grandmother to four. |

Lucy Ross
Lucy Ross, based in Austin, Texas,
has taught at the American School in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, imported
huipiles from Guatemala, and had a 20+ year career in real estate. She
is currently serving as the first touch for communities interested in
the Journey to Transformation, and will also partner with the domestic
and international coordinators to provide process success. Lucy brings
gifts of faith and communication, and is a full-on servant. We are
delighted to have her on the team. |

J.R. Smith
J.R. Smith is based in Fort Worth,
Texas, where he has spearheaded many prayer initiatives, including the
Texas National Day of Prayer. J.R. has traveled with George to many of
the destinations that have been reported in the Transformations
documentaries since he first viewed Transformations 1 in 1999. He now
heads up the FIRE Tour Program, taking groups from around the world to
experience firsthand God’s amazing transforming handiwork! |
